Vanlandingham Garden Party Wedding Part 2 | Charlotte Destination Wedding

In case you missed Part 1.

This was such a beautiful wedding, filled with sweet moments. I promised you a butterfly release and an awesome ring shot. Take a look.

VanlandinghamWedding7The little guy’s butterflies didn’t want to leave their box…He said, “They’re having a conversation!” So cute!VanlandinghamWedding8 VanlandinghamWedding9 VanlandinghamWedding10Isn’t this shot amazing? Kudos to my second shooter, Kelli, for being my butterfly whisperer. VanlandinghamWedding11 VanlandinghamWedding12

This has got to be my all time favorite bridal bouquet. I’ve always thought the cascading bouquets were so elegant and beautiful. They remind me of Princess Diana’s wedding. Orlaith definitely looked like a princess herself. After the wedding, the couple took the gorgeous bridal bouquet to Arlington cemetery, to put it on the grave of David’s father who passed away when he was only 2. Hearing that made me tear up!VanlandinghamWedding13 VanlandinghamWedding14 VanlandinghamWedding15

My absolute favorite image from this wedding is this one of Orlaith and the kids eating wedding cake by the band.VanlandinghamWedding16

The reception was a lot of fun for everyone. The Whiskey Rebellion played lots of Irish music, and they danced the Seige of Ennes.VanlandinghamWedding17 VanlandinghamWedding18

Be sure to leave me some blog love! It makes my heart smile!

Vanlandingham Garden Party Wedding Part 1 | Charlotte Destination Wedding

From across the pond, two of the sweetest, most genuine people came to exchange their vows in a destination wedding at Vanlandingham Estate. David & Orlaith’s wedding guests came from all over the globe to take part in their special day. The couple came from the Netherlands, and the guests came from places like Panama, Ireland, and London. I was in love with all of their accents, and they said the same about mine. I will actually miss them. They are all pretty amazing!

The bridal gown is a coutoure gown by Miss Pearl in the Netherlands. The second dress is a more American traditional wedding gown she wore for the reception. Both are equally beautiful, aren’t they?

Laura + Erik {Got Married} = {Charleston Place Wedding}

This couple was so precious and their families are amazing!! Fairytale wedding day!

Ring shot LOVE!!!

Laura + Erik {E-session}=A Perfect Match {Rock Hill Wedding Photographer}

It’s getting rare to see a couple that are high school sweethearts. Even more rare for them to be from two different countries. He is from Germany and she is from the Dominican Republic. These two met at summer camp over five years ago and in just a few short weeks will be having a destination wedding at the historic Charleston Place Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina.

I am so excited to introduce Laura + Erik. She and Erik drove from her home in Greenville to Rock Hill for a fabulous engagement session. The weather tried to play tricks on us, but when we were finally able to work it out, the weather was gorgeous and so are Erik and Laura. In no time at all we had so many great shots, that we stopped earlier than planned and had a great lunch together at the Olive Garden. Yum!

Congrats Erik + Laura! Can’t wait to see you on your big day!

SPOTLIGHT ON: Rings

So, I had this idea of doing a blog post on my favorite aspect of wedding photography…. When I started thinking of my favorite part, it became parts….and I realize that I love it all. So instead of my favorite, I will do a SPOTLIGHT post.

My first SPOTLIGHT post will be on rings! When I think of rings, I think of the eternal circle, no beginning, no end. A symbol of love and a token a bride and groom give one another to wear to proudly announce to the world that he is hers and she is his forever. And some nice shiny diamonds give some splash! Below are some favorite ring shots I’ve taken this year.I’m sure this isn’t the last ring post, by a long shot. I love thinking of new and creative ways to showcase the rings.

Let me know which is your favorite. My blog loves comments and sharing. 😀

Julia + Jeremy Get Hitched! (Outerbanks Wedding)

You know some couples are just destined to be together. It’s unavoidable, unexplainable, it just HAS to happen! That’s Julia and Jeremy! They met as children, went their own ways for years, and then it happened….They fell madly in love and oh you can see it written all over them. Their love of God, family, and each other was so astoundingly comforting. I really don’t have the words to describe these two.

And their location? Oh my! I LOVE the beach, so this was SUCH a treat to enjoy a wedding and the Outerbanks in one fell swoop! Take a look.

Congrats Julia and Jeremy! May you be this happy every day or happier!
