Vanlandingham Garden Party Wedding Part 2 | Charlotte Destination Wedding

In case you missed Part 1.

This was such a beautiful wedding, filled with sweet moments. I promised you a butterfly release and an awesome ring shot. Take a look.

VanlandinghamWedding7The little guy’s butterflies didn’t want to leave their box…He said, “They’re having a conversation!” So cute!VanlandinghamWedding8 VanlandinghamWedding9 VanlandinghamWedding10Isn’t this shot amazing? Kudos to my second shooter, Kelli, for being my butterfly whisperer. VanlandinghamWedding11 VanlandinghamWedding12

This has got to be my all time favorite bridal bouquet. I’ve always thought the cascading bouquets were so elegant and beautiful. They remind me of Princess Diana’s wedding. Orlaith definitely looked like a princess herself. After the wedding, the couple took the gorgeous bridal bouquet to Arlington cemetery, to put it on the grave of David’s father who passed away when he was only 2. Hearing that made me tear up!VanlandinghamWedding13 VanlandinghamWedding14 VanlandinghamWedding15

My absolute favorite image from this wedding is this one of Orlaith and the kids eating wedding cake by the band.VanlandinghamWedding16

The reception was a lot of fun for everyone. The Whiskey Rebellion played lots of Irish music, and they danced the Seige of Ennes.VanlandinghamWedding17 VanlandinghamWedding18

Be sure to leave me some blog love! It makes my heart smile!

Vanlandingham Garden Party Wedding Part 1 | Charlotte Destination Wedding

From across the pond, two of the sweetest, most genuine people came to exchange their vows in a destination wedding at Vanlandingham Estate. David & Orlaith’s wedding guests came from all over the globe to take part in their special day. The couple came from the Netherlands, and the guests came from places like Panama, Ireland, and London. I was in love with all of their accents, and they said the same about mine. I will actually miss them. They are all pretty amazing!

The bridal gown is a coutoure gown by Miss Pearl in the Netherlands. The second dress is a more American traditional wedding gown she wore for the reception. Both are equally beautiful, aren’t they?

One Year Session- Rock Hill Child Photographers

I had the greatest honor of photographing little Baby Blake in Rock Hill, as a newborn, when he first came home with his amazing adoptive parents and big brother Connor a year ago. I have been photographing Connor since he was 5, and love this family to the ends of the earth. So to add little brother Blake to my life happens gang, I am ecstatic! Oh and Blake is a ham just like his big brother…Take a look.

Nancy’s Glow {Charlotte Maternity Photographer}

It’s been a while since I’ve shot some maternity, so I was really stoked to do this session. The weather was unbelievably cooperative! You wouldn’t know it was the beginning of February.

Nancy is due any day now and has a glow like you wouldn’t even believe. This is will be her first child and she is already talking about when they have baby #2. Eek! Her entire family is so excited for little Jackson to get here…. Just a few more days….

Look at Elvis! He’s the cutest fur brother little Jackson could ask for. He talked to me almost the entire time, and even posed a time or two.

Aww! I just couldn’t help but to show you this one. He’s just too cute!

And since the weather was so unbelievably gorgeous, we ventured out to Freedom Park for a few more portraits. Lots of people were out enjoying the sun and warm temperatures.

Merry Christmas!

Sixteen years ago today, Christmas got just a little more special for me. I married the most wonderful man and joined two families. It has been the best decision I’ve made. Over the years our family has grown up and grown together and for that I am grateful.

So when I think of Christmas, I feel so blessed that I cry. Happy Tears! God gave us Jesus so we could be in His family and Tim and I married to be a great family.

As a photographer, I am constantly working with couples and families to capture them. Yet, over the last few years I have neglected to get family portraits of my own family. My good friend Joseph Hawk offered to change that. Thanks, Joseph!

Merry Christmas!

FAQ: What to Wear Fall and Winter (Rock Hill Portrait Photographer)

Do you ever look at your closet and panic about what to wear? I do, sometimes. I have a quirky sense of style, some classic, some eclectic. Some days I just wish the outfits would find themselves and magically appear on me. So that got me to thinking…a lot of times my clients also want or need ideas for their wardrobe selection for an upcoming photo session. Well, below are some ideas. You don’t have to own the exact things or even the color palettes. These are just ideas to get you started. So now you have an idea. Play with your closet and have fun!

Hunsucker Family + Star Wars (Rock Hill Family Photographer)

My dear friend Missi decided she wanted new family photos, and I am so pleased she chose me to capture them. She has such a cute family that I couldn’t wait to get together with them, but rain kept interfering with our plans. Finally we were able to sneak a shoot in between storm fronts and captured some fabulous images. It just so happened to be Missi and Randy’s anniversary, so a couple of kisses were captured too!

Here’s a look at a couple of the products she purchased besides prints:

This is an 3×3 accordion book. It can hold a number of images and is two-sided with magnetic closure. Below is the storyboard she purchased in my most popular style.

Oops…I almost forgot. Brice really loves Star Wars. He loves them so much, he has all kinds of figurines and movies, just everything you can imagine. So I promised him that if he helped me get really good pictures of his family, I would take some pictures of his figurines. Here they are Brice!
